Visco Liquid 200 ml belongs to a group of medicines called antacids used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), stomach upset, and bloating. The abdomen is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.
Visco Liquid 200 ml is a combination of four drugs: Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, simethicone, and sodium alginate. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract. Sodium alginate forms a protective barrier, thereby prevents irritation due to acid. Together, Visco Liquid 200 ml provides relief from acidity.
How to use
Take Visco Liquid 200 ml with or without food. Take the required dose/quantity of Visco Liquid 200 ml using the measuring cup provided by the pack; shake the bottle well before each use. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take Visco Liquid 200 ml
